Research Mentorship Program<\/h3>\n

Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

The objective of the RQEI mentorship program is to provide support to the next generation of scientists, particularly young researchers who identify as members of underrepresented groups in science and engineering in Quebec (women, visible minorities, people living with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, ethnic minorities, LGBT).<\/p>\n

Pairing with an experienced researcher allows for the establishment of new, informal (and enjoyable!) relationships that fully benefit both parties.<\/p>\n

The RQEI mentor team is made up of researchers and experienced in several fields of research in the network and from the various member institutions of the network. They use their knowledge to help, support and accompany the next generation on a voluntary basis in the successful implementation of a research program and to advance their careers. <\/p>\n

In addition, the mentorship context allows postdoctoral fellows to informally discuss job opportunities at the various institutions in the network.<\/p>\n

Operation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The QEI match lasts for one year from the first individual mentor-mentee meeting. Individual meetings are strictly confidential. <\/p>\n

A questionnaire will allow the management of the RQEI to evaluate the impact of this program and to ensure proper follow-up.<\/p>\n
