Funding objectives:

  1. Integrate EDI issues into the research program of the Quebec Network on Smart Energy (RQEI);
  2. Encourage researchers who are members of the RQEI to work collaboratively on inclusive research projects.

Conditions to be met:

  1. The Project must be related to the RQEI’s scientific program (https://www.rqei.ca/recherche/);
  2. The Project must involve at least two researchers from the Network from different institutions;
  3. The Project must address one or more elements of the EDI issue;
  4. The Project must propose scientific or technical solutions to the obstacles to EDI;
  5. The project is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2024.

Evaluation criteria:

  1. Scientific relevance and feasibility of the project: originality, relevance and scope of the project with regard to the state of knowledge at the national and international levels, feasibility of the project according to the budget and schedule (40 points);
  2. The Project clearly defines how the EDI theme(s) are implemented, either in the methodological approach or in the scientific or technical solution (30 points);
  3. The Project improves the training of students by taking advantage of the Network’s inter-institutional environment (20 points);
  4. Breadth and quality of the knowledge transfer strategy, particularly with a stakeholder environment (10 points).
