The Scientific Committee’s mandate is to plan and coordinate inter-institutional research projects and administer student grants.
Composition
The Scientific Committee is made up of the directors of the scientific program areas.
Appointments are for a period of two years.

Sasan Sattarpanah Karganroudi
Sasan Sattarpanah Karganroudi is a research professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and assigned to the Drummondville campus. A specialist in smart manufacturing, he conducts research based on strategies specific to Industry 4.0, including non-destructive evaluation and 3D metrology of mechanical components and structures. Also involved in R&D, he used experimental approaches to develop methods for engineering, precision and material processing and laser welding. Computer-aided design, manufacturing and inspection, optimization processes and artificial intelligence, finite element analysis, augmented reality and numerical simulation are frequently used in his work.

Pre. Inès E. Achouri, P.Eng., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biotechnological Engineering and has held the Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Process Intensification for Advanced Catalysts and Sustainable Energy since April 2021. She is the Deputy Director of the Technology and Process Research Group (TSRG) and Chair of the Energy Division of the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC). Its expertise in process intensification covers both the chemical and pharmaceutical fields for optimal efficiency.

Khaled Ziane
Khaled Ziane holds a PhD in Industrial Safety and Environment with a focus on renewable energy. He works as a researcher at the Centre for Research and Innovation in Energy Intelligence (CR2ie) at Cégep de Sept-Îles, and he is heavily involved in projects related mainly to energy storage, industry 4.0, predictive maintenance and health management of multi-physical systems. His current research interests focus mainly on the following areas:
