Wels, Austria – The Young Energy Researchers Conference 2023 will take place on 28 February 2023 in Wels/Austria as part of the World Sustainable Energy Days (WSED). Young researchers and professionals in the fields of biomass and energy efficiency are invited to submit contributions.

The Young Energy Researchers Conference is dedicated to showcasing the work and achievements of young researchers in the areas of 1) energy efficiency and 2) biomass. It provides an opportunity to interact with researchers and industry experts from around the world and build a network of peers. The two best papers are awarded the “Best Young Researcher in Energy Efficiency” and “Best Young Researcher in Biomass” prizes and each receive 1,000 euros as prizes.
The event is organised by the Upper Austrian Regional Energy Agency, OÖ Energiesparverband (ESV), as part of the annual World Sustainable Energy Days – a leading international conference on energy transition and climate neutrality.
“Energy transition = energy security” is the motto of the WSED 2023.
Young researchers (born after 1987) are invited to submit their contributions by October 10, 2022. Submissions are welcome in all scientific fields (technology, engineering, economics, social sciences, architecture, law, arts). A high-level scientific committee selects the papers for oral or poster presentation.
The Young Energy Researchers Conference is dedicated to presenting the work and achievements of young researchers in the fields of 1) energy efficiency and 2) biomass. The 2 best contributions are honoured with the awards “Best Young Energy Efficiency Researcher” and “Best Young Biomass Researcher” and receive 1,000 Euro each as prize money.
