Internships funded up to $5,000 for a total of $20,000

Funding objectives:
- Encourage the development and exchange of expertise;
- Encourage excellence in the work of RQEI students;
- Encourage collaboration between the RQEI’s partners, including educational institutions, industry and other partner organizations.
Conditions to be met:
- The internship project must involve at least one student (college,1st ,2nd cycle or3rd university cycle);
- The internship project must involve at least two RQEI professor-researchers from different institutions;
- One of the two research professors must not be the supervisor or co-supervisor of the student’s study project;
- One of the two research professors must not have already received funding from the RQEI in 2020;
- The internship project must last a maximum of three months and end no later than August 31, 2021;
- The internship must be related to the RQEI’s scientific program (https://www.rqei.ca/recherche/).
Eligible expenses:
- Convenience pay to the student intern (including benefits) or scholarship top-up.
Evaluation criteria:
- Excellence of the student intern’s record (20 points);
- Relevance of the internship project to develop skills complementary to the student’s study project (20 points);
- Relevance and feasibility of the internship project: originality, relevance of the methodological approach and scope of the project (30 points);
- Correlation between the expertise of the research professors as presented in the CV and the purpose of the internship (20 points);
- The Project improves the trainee’s training and skills by leveraging the Network’s inter-institutional environment (10 points).
