Kévin Bouchard
Kévin Bouchard is a Full Professor at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2014, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship as a scientist at the Center for SMART Health at the University of California, Los Angeles. During this period, he co-led an ambient technology deployment project for a rehabilitation center in Santa Monica. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, and data science applied to real-world environments. He is particularly interested in the development of technologies for health and in the digital transformation of organizations. His contributions include RFID-based localization, ambient sensing, activity recognition using UWB radar, wearable technologies, and integrated telemonitoring platforms. He is the director of CYNERGIA, an applied research group dedicated to the development and transfer of AI, cybersecurity, and advanced data analytics solutions, in partnership with Hydro-Québec.
