Since 2004, Mohamed Mohamedi has been a Professor at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Centre for Energy, Materials and Telecommunications. His research interests are in electrochemical technologies that encompass materials, fundamentals, and prototypes for applied research related to energy storage and conversion, including:

– Nanostructured multifunctional catalysts for direct alcohol fuel cells

– Advanced self-supporting catalysts for rechargeable Zn-Air batteries

– Environmentally friendly hybrid supercapacitors using both charge storage mechanisms in double-layer electrochemical capacitors (EDLCs) and metal oxide-based pseudocapacitors.

– Energy sources of implantable enzymatic biological fuel cells for medical applications

– Numerical simulation and fabrication of microfluidic energy systems

-Electrochemical sensors for diabetes detection and monitoring
