Molood Saeedi, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the INRS–UQTR Joint Research Unit in Materials Science and Energy. She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Energy from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), completed in collaboration with the CNETE and Hydro-Québec. Her research focuses on the development of sustainable hydrometallurgical processes for the recovery and valorization of critical materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering and Industrial Metallurgy and a Master’s degree in Materials engineering – Metal Extraction from Tehran Polytechnic. She also has eight years of research and development experience in the metallurgical industry, covering mineral processing, pyrometallurgy, process engineering, and mineral resource valorization. Her expertise includes hydrometallurgical processing, the recovery of critical metals from lithium-ion batteries and industrial residues, advanced materials characterization, project management, and interdisciplinary research supporting sustainable energy technologies and the circular economy.
