Seyed Saeed Madani
Dr Seyed Saeed Madani is a postdoctoral researcher at INRS in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and is also affiliated with the University of Waterloo. He specialises in advanced battery systems and smart energy technologies. His work focuses on lithium-ion and next-generation batteries, battery management systems, and hybrid hydrogen-battery architectures. He develops electrochemical-thermal models, AI-based diagnostic methods and digital twins for state estimation, lifetime prediction and energy optimisation. Dr Madani has over 20 years of combined academic and industrial experience in the field of energy systems, particularly in electric vehicle batteries, renewable energy storage and hydrogen technologies. The author of over 60 peer-reviewed scientific publications, he contributes to the development of safe, high-performance and smart energy storage solutions for transport and electricity grids. He actively collaborates with academic and industrial partners to support Quebec’s energy transition and innovation in the field of batteries.
