Taheri Shamsodin
Shamsodin Taheri is a full professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). All of his research is based on the practical application of advanced techniques for the integration of renewable energy sources into the electricity grid in cold conditions. More specifically, his research team evaluates the performance of photovoltaic panels and their integration in cold regions using artificial intelligence techniques. He established a research laboratory within UQO (LAR3E: Laboratoire de recherche en efficacité énergétique des réseaux électriques) based on his CFI grant. He contributed to the implementation of the innovative program by creating the innovative renewable energy and smart grids unit at UQO. He is also a senior member of the IEEE.
