Tchini Sévérin Tanoh
Tchini Sévérin Tanoh is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemical and Biotechnological Engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke, within the Technologies and Processes Research Group (GRTP). An energy engineer graduated from the International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering (2iE) in Burkina Faso, he also holds a PhD in Energy and Transfer from IMT- Mines Albi in France. He has over ten years of experience in waste-to-energy conversion. His work focuses on pyrolysis, gasification, reforming of pyrolysis gases, hydrodexoygenation (HDO) of pyrolytic oils, and the development of nanomaterials. He is also interested in wastewater treatment and the valorisation of industrial residues. He has contributed to numerous international projects funded by NSERC, the European Union, the African Union, and various African research agencies. Author of several scientific publications, he also teaches energy engineering and chemical engineering. His current research is aligned with energy transition and circular economy initiatives.
