Student Contest – AQPER

The Quebec Association of Renewable Energy Production (AQPER) is proud to launch its 5th edition of the student contest under the theme “Mobilizing for Quebec’s Energy Transition”! In one sentence: this is a science popularization competition open to graduate students from all disciplines. Is your research project about the energy transition? This contest is for you!

Why participate?

This competition offers the finalists:

– the chance to win one of the 3 scholarships offered by the Quebec Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources totalling $3,000: 1st^{prize of} $1,500,^2nd prize of $1,000 and^3rd prize of $500;

– A full student pass for the AQPER 2022 Annual Conference valued at $250 + taxes, which includes access to conferences, networking activities and meals;

– A unique opportunity to present their research project to representatives of Quebec companies involved in Quebec’s energy transition;

– The opportunity to promote their research project to a varied audience.

To be eligible, candidates must:

– be able to express themselves clearly in French or English;

– Present an original research project related to Quebec’s energy transition;

– be enrolled as a full-time student in the winter 2021 semester in a graduate program (M.A.Sc., M.Eng., MBA/EMBA, Ph.D., etc.) – postdoctoral students are not eligible;

– Be available to attend the finals at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac Hotel on February 21 and 22, 2022;

– Submit the completed registration form by December 6, 2021, 11:59 p.m.
