The RQEI is receiving a grant of more than $500,000 to finance its activities over the next two years.

The RQEI’s mandate is based on three main areas of research: green and intelligent vehicle systems, intelligent systems management, and the field of energy storage and conversion.

“The RQEI brings together seventy-five researchers from Quebec to discuss issues related to the energy transition. This group of driving forces from the natural sciences and engineering aims to accelerate this transition by combining university research and the development of technical solutions with the expertise in technology transfer deployed by CEGEPs, via the College Centres for Technology Transfer (CCTT). The recognition of the RQEI by the FRQ-NT as a strategic group makes it possible to federate and combine complementary expertise that, taken together, will maximize the benefits of research and development investments for Quebec society,” said Professor Loïc Boulon of UQTR’s Department of Electrical Engineering.
