As part of the energy transition taking place in Quebec and elsewhere in the world, green hydrogen and bioenergy technologies (biofuels, renewable natural gas and biomass) are expected to be part of the solutions to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Réseau québécois sur l’énergie intelligente (RQEI) and the Energy Squad are pleased to present the 18 pieces of green hydrogen and bioenergy research equipment funded as part of the inter-institutional and inter-order infrastructure pooling initiative.

An amount of $5 million has been granted by the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP) for the acquisition and pooling of 18 pieces of research equipment as part of an agreement on green hydrogen and bioenergy.

These grants will make it possible to effectively mobilize the material resources necessary for the development of major strategic research and development (R&D) initiatives and to promote alignment with the needs of the lessee community.
