Internal call for projects: Technology and knowledge transfer program towards industry of the Quebec Interuniversity Network for Smart, Digital and Sustainable Innovation (OTN)

The Government of Quebec, as part of the Digital Transformation Offensive (OTN) program of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy (MEIE), has granted a financial contribution of $5.6 million to support the “Technology and Knowledge Transfer Program for Industry for Smart, Digital and Sustainable Innovation” of the SDG Network (Smart-Digital-Green) Innovation (RSDGI) (https://www.sdginnovnetwk.com/fr). The latter was created in 2019 by eight Quebec universities with a view to meeting industrial needs requiring inter-university collaboration in R&D as well as the training of highly qualified personnel to support the digital transformation. Professors Jean-François Audy (Management) and Neila El Asli (Engineering) are UQTR’s co-leaders at the RSDGI.

For this second internal call for projects, in collaboration with the Réseau québécois de l’énergie intelligente (RQEI), the total envelope available to UQTR is $199,500 and must mobilize partnership research with at least 6 SMEs. The objective of the MEIE is to support the transfer of developments resulting from research projects to partner SMEs in order to obtain short-term benefits for them in terms of productivity, performance and competitiveness gains.
