It is a project financed in part by the German KFW. Essentially, it is a project to study and analyze the hydrogen market at the global level, then at the Moroccan level, with desired recommendations on the development of the hydrogen sector. Masen is the Moroccan leader in the development of the renewable energy sector.

Power-to-X is the conversion of electricity, considered as primary energy, into an energy carrier. As Michael Sterner, a professor at the University of Regensburg (Germany), writes: “It’s an umbrella term for different ways of generating energy – power-to-gas, power-to-liquid, power-to-chemicals and power-to-heat.” The X therefore represents a variety of products, processes, technologies and applications.

In Quebec, while the residential sector relies on hydroelectricity as a source of clean energy, it seems that the gradual improvement in the energy efficiency of the commercial and institutional building sector could be associated with tangible impacts for the achievement of greenhouse gas reduction targets.
