Goals:
Acquire knowledge on technologies related to digital transformation in the energy sector, and more specifically in the power grid value chain
Learn how to integrate these technologies into the receiving environments, i.e. facilities, projects, networks, companies, etc., in a useful way that can optimize energy processes and reduce costs.
Learn about the underlying economics of innovation, technology and market disruption, as well as the pros and cons of current digital technologies that drive progress.
Objectifs :
Acquérir des connaissances sur les technologies liées à la transformation numérique dans le secteur de l’énergie, et plus particulièrement dans la chaîne de valeur des réseaux électriques
Apprendre comment intégrer ces technologies dans les milieux preneurs, c’est-à-dire installations, projets, réseaux, entreprises … etc., d’une manière utile qui peut optimiser les processus énergétiques et réduire les coûts.
S’initier aux aspects économiques sous-jacents de l’innovation, de la technologie et des perturbations du marché, ainsi que les avantages et les inconvénients des technologies numériques actuelles qui stimulent les progrès.

- The emerging technologies that can disrupt the energy sector: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Blockchain, Big Data and Data Analysis, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Nano technologies, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), 3D printing, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).
- How digital transformation is reshaping the energy and electricity sectors.
- To what extent is digital transformation redefining the relationship between the energy utility companies and consumers.
- How are new innovations driving energy efficiency and distributed energy resources.
- How can new energy trading models, such as peer-to-peer energy trading and Virtual Power Plants, affect the current energy business models and networks
