Youmin Zhang is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering, Concordia University, Canada. His research interests are in the broad areas of monitoring, diagnosis and fault-tolerant control, guidance, navigation and control of unmanned systems and smart grids with integration of wind and solar renewable energies towards smarter (autonomy), safer (safety), more reliable (reliability), and more resilient (security) operations against physical faults and cyber-attacks, and with applications to forest fires and smart cities by combining with remote sensing techniques. He has published 8 books, over 600 journal and conference papers. Dr. Zhang is a Fellow of IEEE and CSME, and has been selected as World’s Top 2% Scientists. He has been an Editor-in-Chief (EIC), Editorial Advisory Board Member and Associate Editor of several journals, including as an Associate Editor of « IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics », « IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks & Learning Systems », « IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems – II: Express Briefs », « IET Cyber-systems and Robotics », « Unmanned Systems », a Board Member of Governors and Representatives for Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems, and a Deputy EIC for « Guidance, Navigation and Control » etc. He has served as (Honorary) General Chair, Program Chair of several unmanned systems, renewable energies, and smart cities relevant conferences.
